Senior Systems Engineer (Data Centre Operations)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth running of production jobs in a 24x7 operating environment
• Lead, supervise and handle day-to-day operation of data centre
• Implement procedures and automate processes for data centre operations to run efficiently and smoothly
• Participate pro actively in systems projects and manage changes to data centre operations, operating systems, application software, database systems and equipment
• Co-ordinate, conduct and administer regular disaster recovery tests
• Ensure all operational documentation are kept up to date at all times

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in IT with at least 2 years of experience in data centre batch job processing environment
• Knowledge of HP-UX, SAP, Veritas backup, HP OpenView Operations and job automation tools will be an added advantage
• A team player with good communication skills
