Role Summary/Purpose:
Supporting the Batam plant operational activities
is a competent individual, capable of undertaking engineering
responsibility for all Supply Chain related enquiries; critial to
quality to ensure Oil & Gas equipment particularly Subsea Drilling
equipment supplied, typically pressure containing and/or load bearing in
nature, meeting internal & external engineering competence
standards and quality policies.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend disposition on non-conforming production items.
- Provide technical support to mainly internal customers.
- Carry out evaluation and recommendation of disassembly, inspection & repair procedures for returned goods for repair.
- Assist in carrying out investigation on complaint items or product failures.
- Participate in value engineering reviews.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities.
- Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Prior experience in an Engineering role is preferred.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work and contribute as part of a large cross-functional team.
- Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry standard and codes such as API, ASME, ANSI, NACE, ASTM, DNV.
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas equipment design and operability.
- Strong oral & written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Able to interface effectively with all levels in a cross functions organization.
- Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
