Responsibilities: * Ensure all electrical & wiring installations are in accordance to class rules and Marine best practice.
* Assist in all electrical appliance commissioning and train our engineers onboard vessels.
* Candidates should have knowledge in installation, testing and commissioning of transmission and distribution equipment.
* Candidate should have experience in Marine and FPSO applications.
* Knowledge in design, installation and commissioning of electrical.
* As an Electrical Engineer you will provide expert advice on electrical issues in support of design, construction and commissioning activities of new or existing plants. You will perform scouting studies and feasibility studies to select electrical systems.
* You will set the standards for project specifications and contractor’s activities on Electrical Engineering.
* You will provide technical authority to approve vendors for inclusion in approved vendor lists.
* You will verify the design integrity of work carried out by Engineering contractors to ensure that the proposed solutions are technically sound and meet operability and maintainability requirements.
* You will participate in the development of commissioning and start-up plans.
* You will support maintenance and operations staff and you’ll be expected to participate in teams to troubleshoot issues.
Requirements: * With a BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, you will have substantial electrical (power) engineering experience gained in the oil and gas industry together with previous experience of acting as a technical authority in the electrical discipline. You will be familiar with international design codes and standards; you’ll have the ability to prepare detailed procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and hand-over specification packages for new facilities.
* You can identify electrical power requirements and define an electrical system philosophy and network configuration.
* You’ll have a good working knowledge with defining and specifying main transmission and distribution systems.
* You’ll have a good working knowledge of specifying electrical drive and power systems, and heating, ventilating and lighting systems.
* You have experience in developing commissioning and start-up plans, as well as operational and maintenance strategies.
* You’ll have a good working knowledge of electrical safety systems and procedures for the safe operation of comp voltage distribution systems
* At least 5 year(s) of working experience in a shipyard for newbuild project or related field is required for this position.
* Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
